Gleena Ceramics
Brand Development, Product Design & Creative Direction

Gleena Ceramics began while I was working as a creative director after earning my MFA in ceramics from Rhode Island School of Design. What started as a side project gradually grew into a full-time business and became my primary creative focus for many years.

Building Gleena required far more than designing a line of porcelain tableware. Over time, I became deeply involved in every aspect of the business — branding, photography, packaging, website development, e-commerce, marketing, trade shows, wholesale relationships, customer communication, and long-term product evolution.

Since launching the original website in 2004, I’ve redesigned and rebuilt the online presence multiple times as technology, customer behavior, and digital platforms evolved. Working through those changes taught me to approach websites and brands as living systems that require ongoing refinement rather than static final products.

More importantly, Gleena became a long-term education in what it actually takes to sustain and evolve a creative business over decades. The experience shaped how I think about branding, user experience, storytelling, visual consistency, adaptability, and the relationship between creative vision and practical implementation.

Today, that experience informs how I support other artists, entrepreneurs, and small businesses as they develop brands, websites, and creative projects of their own.
