What brought me to coaching?
Following the creative thread that led to a purposeful practice
By adding coaching and mentoring to my offerings, I’m naturally continuing along my creative path. I never expected to become a coach—it’s something that emerged through years of experience in graphic design and ceramics. Each chapter taught me valuable lessons: how to trust my instincts, how to pivot when things don’t go as planned, and how to grow from both success and failure.
That hard-earned wisdom is the foundation of my coaching and mentoring work today.
I’ve always been a lifelong learner—hungry for self-knowledge, personal growth, and meaningful change. And I tend to attract clients who are just as eager to explore themselves. People who are ready to ask deeper questions and make intentional shifts in their lives.
To hone my skills, I trained at Coach U, an intensive 6-month program that leads to ICF (International Coaching Federation) certification. I met incredible instructors—seasoned professional coaches with decades of experience—and a community of fellow learners who felt like instant family. We came from such different backgrounds, and yet shared the same deep desire: to help others grow and thrive.
A Creative Path That Led Me Here
So, what brought me to coaching? My creative path has never been one-dimensional. I’ve worked in large corporations and small design studios. I’ve run my own business, mentored teammates, taught at the university level, and even returned to grad school to study ceramics after an award-winning design career.
Coaching feels like the natural evolution of all of those experiences. It lets me bring together everything I’ve learned, everything I value, and everything I want to offer. It’s a space where creativity, purpose, and personal transformation intersect.
My Coaching Approach
I believe you are already whole, wise, and capable. You have the answers within you. You are the expert in your own life and work—and you possess the creativity and resourcefulness to shape your path in ways that feel authentic and aligned.
My role is to create a space for your self-discovery and growth. To listen deeply. To ask powerful questions. To guide you to your own solutions and strategies—not hand you mine.
Thanks to my Coach U training, I have the tools and structure to support you with intention and integrity. I’ll hold you accountable, walk with you through the challenges, and celebrate with you as you reach your hard-earned goals.
And I’m still creating.
I continue to make and sell my porcelain ceramics. I love working with porcelain because it constantly challenges me—and that brings me immense joy.
