Listening to the Body,
Meeting the Parts Creative Workshop
This gathering draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS) — a powerful, evidence-based approach that recognizes we are made up of many inner “parts,” each with its own voice, feelings, and role. Some parts protect, some carry emotion, some drive us to perform or please — and all of them want to be understood, not fixed. Beneath all these parts is a core Self — calm, curious, connected — that can gently lead our inner system with compassion.
We begin this workshop with body-based awareness because the body is often the first place our parts express themselves — through tension, sensation, stillness, or restlessness. Sometimes even no sensation is a part! When we listen inwardly with openness and kindness, we can sense which parts are present and start to meet them in a more conscious way. The creative process that follows — drawing, collage, or writing — helps give form to what’s sensed and invites deeper connection without assigning meaning.
This is a space for curiosity, creativity, and care. You are always welcome to participate at your own pace, and to pause or take a break at any point if something doesn’t feel right for you. Everything we offer is invitational.
Please complete and return this form prior to our gathering.
